Publicize PR partners with Founder Institute to boost startup growth

Publicize, a PR startup for startups, teams up with the Founder Institute to give entrepreneurs valuable access to free and discounted PR services to help grow their businesses.

Based in Silicon Valley and with chapters across 110+ cities and 60+ countries, the Founder Institute’s (FI) mission to “Globalize Silicon Valley” has made the virtual trek to Medellin, Colombia where the Publicize main office is located.

Through this partnership, all 2100+ Founder Institute Graduate companies will gain access to Publicize’s massive journalist database, receive a free 30-minute advice/strategy call to discuss their best path to gaining media coverage, and receive a $200 credit towards Publicize’s PR solutions. In addition, 20 select FI Graduate companies from across the U.S. will receive one free month of service, worth $399.

“Many of our startups are already using Publicize to create thought leadership and build awareness around their products, and the feedback has been 100% positive,” said Jonathan Greechan, Co-Founder and Head of Marketing at The Founder Institute.

Publicize was founded by a former VentureBeat Writer and Mentor at the Founder Institute, Conrad Egusa, after he realized that the PR industry’s business model was broken for early-stage startups.

Since its early beginnings Publicize has tried to bridge the gap between the worlds of PR and the media, by promoting “ethical” PR practices, and supporting the media through its ‘Reporter-in-Residence’ program that was featured on TechCrunch.

“At Publicize, we believe that everyone – regardless of business size or budget – should have access to great media coverage,” said Egusa.

Publicize will be listed on the FI global partners page, which can be accessed by more than 2000 FI graduates. The PR company will also be integrated into the FI curriculum for branding and marketing.

The partnership will provide FI startups with valuable access to free and discounted PR services to help grow their businesses, while also promoting Publicize across the FI network.
