Gaming AI Startup HashCut Wins Best Startup Of 2018 At This Year’s The Startup Conference in Silicon Valley

HashCut, a platform using AI to automatically generate highlights from any gaming video on YouTube or Twitch, was crowned this year’s best startup at the 9th edition of the Startup Conference on May 17. Each year, the annual event recognizes top emerging early-stage startups – and HashCut is proud to stand out as the most promising company for 2018.

The Startup Conference in Redwood City is one of the largest conferences for entrepreneurs in Silicon Valley. With more than 1,000 entrepreneurs and investors in attendance, the conference is designed to support the development of young startups by helping them pitch to VCs, find co-founders, reach early adopters and influencers, and more.

Out of hundreds of participating startups, HashCut was selected as one of three finalists to pitch to a panel of VC investors – including Jonathan Charles, Samsung Catalyst Fund Principal, Dr. Shubhra Jain of Cota Capital, Sumeet Jain, Founding Partner of 7 Global Capital, Rama Sekhar, Partner at Norwest Venture Partners, and Bill Reichert, Managing Director of Garage Technology Ventures. Hashcut impressed not only the judges in the final round, but also the audience – receiving 53% of the audience’s vote to take home first prize.

HashCut is a video highlights platform that leverages AI to extract the best gaming moments from YouTube and Twitch videos. With HashCut, fans can capture their favorite highlights and share instantly across their social media accounts, using their desktop or mobile devices. Additionally, gaming streamers and esports leagues can leverage Hashcut to instantly generate highlights from their gameplay.

“We are thrilled to be awarded Best Startup at The Startup Conference 2018, and are overwhelmed by the positive response we received from both the judges and the audience,” said Murali Raju, CEO of HashCut. “Not only is everyone excited by the rapid growth of the gaming and esports market, but also by HashCut’s automated solution for hundreds of millions of gaming fans.”
