500px tablet app
Professional photo sharing site 500px has debuted its new, improved image uploader that delivers a “clever redesign and elegant interface created to optimize your upload experience”.
Previously, 500px limited the number of batch photo uploads to 10 for all users. Provided you’ve upgraded from a free account, this limit has been removed with the introduction of the new Uploader, allowing 50 or even 100 images to be uploaded at a time.
According to a 500px blog post announcing the new features,
“The new Uploader offers increased number of uploads, instant default setting, folder placement option, unique visualized discoverability and much more. It saves your time on uploading images to 500px while giving more control over your photos.”
Other features include the ability to set default EXIF data – additional technical information like camera settings and when a particular image was captured – and apply this to all other images being uploaded without the need to re-type.
Users can easily add location data to their photos by typing an address, denote image content as adult, and decide to place an image in Library, Profile, Set or Portfolio directly within the Uploader.
A discoverability gauge increases with each piece of annotation, encouraging users to make their images more discoverable and gain maximum exposure.
