2011 Bulby Award winner
We’re pleased to announce that The Sociable is now an international Bulby Award winner in the category Best Content. We owe a great deal to our loyal readers who came out in droves to support and vote for us.
The .CO Bulby Awards have been created as part of the ‘Under The Bulb’ campaign being run by the operators of the .CO domain to award companies, entrepreneurs and individuals whose websites, such as The Sociable, use the .CO domain. The Sociable was the only Irish website nominated in inaugural event.
We faced tough competition from our category competitors, including Bahamas.co, the islands’ tourism website; Enter.co, a Spanish technology website; and portafolio.co, a Colombian news site, amongst others.
Our achievements in Best Content category is a testament to our efforts at The Sociable, where we carefully select and publish great content that we believe our readers will most appreciate. We’re indebted to our liberated community members, many of which connect through our presence on Twitter, Facebook and now Google+, who turned out in force to vote for us.
There were 45 nominations in total across ten categories. Other winners include TinyFactory.CO in Best Creative Agency, JCO.CO in Best Company Site, BZA.CO and Top10.CO in Best New Platform (joint winners), NWC.CO in Best Social Idea, IJS.CO in Coolest Creative Idea, ANGEL.CO in Best Startup Resource, JOAN.CO in Best Personal Site, X.CO in Best Use of a Single Letter Domain and PLAYBUTTON.CO in Best Idea category.
The Sociable is humbly one of one million websites now using the .CO since the domain’s global release in July 2010. Once again, thank you to all who voted and keep reading The Sociable for top technology and media news!
